SPORTSTICKER INTL RECAP(PAWTUCKET-COLUMBUS)COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Andy Abad had three hits and three RBI as the Pawtucket Red Sox downed the Columbus Clippers, 6-2. Abad opened the scoring in the third with a two-run triple and also produced an RBI single in the seventh inning. Lou Collier slapped a run-scoring single in the third inning and Earl Snyder hit an RBI double in the eighth for Pawtucket, which won its fifth consecutive game. Bruce Chen (2-3) picked up the win, scattering four hits and fanning six over seven scoreless innings. Bobby Smith swatted his seventh home run of the year and Charles Gipson hit an RBI single in the eighth inning for Columbus. Alex Graman (7-7) surrendered five runs -- four earned -- and 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Clippers, who dropped their fourth straight game.
