(ORLANDO-GREENVILLE)

GREENVILLE, South Carolina (Ticker) -- Dan Grummit forced in the go-ahead run and Juan Salas knocked in three runs to help the Orlando Rays edge the Greenville Braves, 5-4. After a hit-by-pitch and two walks loaded the bases in the top of the ninth inning, Grummit was struck with a pitch by Billy Sylvester to plate a run and snap a 4-4 tie. Salas crushed a three-run home in the opening frame and Jesus Feliciano added a seventh-inning, run-scoring single to tie the score at 4-4. John Benedetti (4-5) struck out three in two scoreless innings to earn the win and Josh Parker pitched a scoreless ninth to pick up his third save for Orlando, which improved to 16-17 in one-run games. Sylvester (1-2) hit a pair of batters and issued two walks to surrender a run in the ninth inning and suffer the loss for Greenville, which has dropped three of its last four games. Cory Aldridge, Pete Orr and James Jurries each singled in a run to provide the offense for the Braves.
