IntraTherapies Launches Medical Clinics for ``Age Management Therapeutics''; Los Angeles Area Patients To Enter Clinical Study of New AlphaProgram for Age-Related Disorders

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 2003--IntraTherapies, the healthcare pioneer in Age Management Therapeutics(R), today announced the opening of two medical clinics where patients will participate in a clinical study of the patents-pending AlphaProgram(R). The AlphaProgram is a prescription-based regimen that restores three key areas of neuro-systemic function in the brain and body with the purpose of inhibiting a series of age-related disorders.

Located in Beverly Hills and Encino, the IntraTherapies clinics are conducting the AlphaProgram clinical study as a follow-up to verification of safety and efficacy during physicians' clinical observation of inaugural patients over a 24-month period. These men and women, ranging in age from 30 to 85, suffered from age-related disorders including: general anxiety; depression; reduced energy, vitality and sex drive; overall progressive decline in mental acuity ranging from mild cognitive impairment to age-related cognitive decline and age-associated memory impairment; and menopause/andropause symptomology which, in some cases, was accompanied by unpredictable, hormonally induced mood swings.

AlphaProgram Medical Director Dr. Kimberly Yeager, M.D. developed the criteria for the study. Dr. Yeager's past medical positions include Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service, Chief of the Office of Women's Health for the California Department of Health Services, and medical epidemiologist with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. "With the heated discussions now routinely taking place in the medical arena regarding the need to address and reduce age-related health problems, we are excited about our new study," said Dr. Yeager. "Candidates will undergo medical evaluations entailing an extensive physical exam, patient history, physical fitness analysis and comprehensive cognitive function testing."

Once accepted into the AlphaProgram, patients will begin an individualized medical regimen that includes a series of patents-pending prescription compounds consisting of FDA-approved drugs developed to restore a patient's neuro-systemic peak. This peak is defined as the optimal balance of three key areas of neurological function in the brain and body -- neuro-metabolic, neuroendocrine and neuro-immune. In turn, the re-regulation and modulation of these targeted neurological functions may promote an array of clinically observed psychological and physiological benefits, the cornerstone of IntraTherapies trademarked "Age Management Therapeutics."

"The AlphaProgram is the result of 12 years of research and development," said Nathan Sassover, IntraTherapies CEO and inventor of the AlphaProgram. "In focusing on neuro-systemic function and what we call 'the engines of the brain,' the AlphaProgram's broad range of effect may create a cascade of health benefits throughout the body. By integrating the healthful balance of brain/body systems, within the concept of truly personalized medicine as provided by our Age Management Therapeutics, IntraTherapies is dedicated to identifying and treating the starting point of disorders that reduce our quality of life as we get older."

The IntraTherapies clinics in Beverly Hills and Encino are now accepting patients for the AlphaProgram clinical study. People interested in becoming AlphaProgram patients should call the IntraTherapies Institute in Beverly Hills, 310-276-9300, or the IntraTherapies Institute in Encino, 818-386-0600. There is a nominal charge for candidate evaluation, testing and medication as well as a fee for ongoing medical care.
