FRESNO, California (Ticker) -- Francisco Santos knocked in three runs, including the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the Fresno Grizzlies over the Sacramento River Cats, 5-4. After a walk, a sac bunt, and a wild pitch moved Alberto Castillo to third base, Santos produced a two-out, 10th-inning single to left field to knock him home, snapping a 4-4 tie. Santos, who finished with three hits, also stroked a two-run triple in the bottom of the the eighth inning to give Fresno a brief 4-2 lead. Todd Linden produced a pair of run-scoring hits, and Carlos Mendoza also had three hits and scored twice for the Grizzlies, who won for just the third time in eight games. Luis Estrella (2-6) tossed a scoreless 10th inning to pick up the win. Jose Flores and Chris Prieto each notched a run-scoring hit in the eighth inning, and Mike Edwards clubbed a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth for Sacramento, which lost for just the third time in 15 games. Mike Kusiewicz (2-1) surrendered a run and a hit with two walks in 2/3 of an inning to suffer the loss for the Grizzlies. OKLAHOMA (RANGERS) 3, ALBUQUERQUE (MARLINS) 1OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma (Ticker) -- Ryan Drese tossed eight strong innings to lead the Oklahoma Redhawks past the Albuquerque Isotopes, 3-1. Drese (7-6) yielded a run, scattered eight hits, struck out two and walked three to win for the fourth time in his last five decisions. Reynaldo Garcia worked a scoreless inning to grab his sixth save for Oklahoma, which has allowed just four runs in its last three games, two of them wins. Gerald Laird, who is hitting .462 (6-for-13) over his last five games, hit a solo shot in the bottom of the sixth inning to even the score at 1-1 and Jason Hart led off the seventh with a homer to plate the go-ahead run. Chad Allen produced an RBI single for Albuquerque, which fell for the sixth time in its last seven road games. COLORADO SPRINGS (ROCKIES) 7, OMAHA (ROYALS) 4 (COMP OF SUSP)COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Pablo Ozuna hit his first home run of the season to lead a 13-hit attack as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox posted a 7-4 victory over the Omaha Royals in the completion of Monday's suspended game. Ozuna's two-run blast in the seventh inning completed the scoring for Colorado Springs. Wendell Magee and David Newhan each collected three hits for the Sky Sox, who came back from a 2-1 deficit with a four-run fourth inning. Scott Elarton (5-6) threw five innings, allowing seven hits and two runs, to win his fourth straight decision. Morgan Burkhart and Gookie Dawkins each knocked in a pair of runs for Omaha, which lost for the first time in six meetings with Colorado Springs this season. Mike Fyhrie (7-4) suffered the loss, yielding 10 hits, five runs and five walks in 5 2/3 innings. COLORADO SPRN (ROCKIES) 5, OMAHA (ROYALS) 4COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Ticker) -- Brent Butler bunted home the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to help the Colorado Springs Sky Sox edge the Omaha Royals, 5-4, in the regularly scheduled contest. After Pablo Ozuna led off the seventh with a double to right field and advanced to third on a groundout by David Newhan, Butler drove in the decisive run. Willie Morales blasted a three-run homer in the second inning to give Colorado Springs a 3-0 lead and tied the game in the sixth with a run-scoring groundout for the Sky Sox, who improved to 6-4 in their last 10 games. Doug Thompson (1-1) allowed two hits over two scoreless innings to pick up the win. Brent Abernathy singled home two runs in the fourth to stake Omaha to a 4-3 lead. Fernando Lunar walked with the bases loaded to force in a run and the next batter, Alexis Gomez, was hit by a pitch to knock in the second run for the Royals, who dropped to 12-18 in one-run games this season. Brandon Emanuel retired the only batter he faced in the ninth for his first save. Gary Johnson ripped an RBI double in the fourth, scoring Nathan Haynes, to tie the game at 1-1 and Barry Wesson hit a sacrifice fly in the fifth to stake his club to a one-run lead. Haynes delivered two base hits for the Stingers, who have won four of their last five games. Trenidad Hubbard, Bobby Hill and Nic Jackson each finished with two hits for Iowa, which dropped to one game under .500 (18-19) in one-run games this season. Lorraine (8-8) allowed a run and scattered six hits to earn his first win in nearly a month for Las Vegas. Chin-Feng Chen went 3-for-4 with an RBI single in the first and a solo homer in the sixth to give his club a 4-1 lead. Rick Bell added a two-run double and Daryle Ward clubbed his first homer, a two-run shot in the seventh for the 51s, who won for just the fourth time in their last 11 games. Wilson Delgado singled home Scott Seabol for the only run scored by Memphis, which lost for just the third time in its last 12 home games. Josh Pearce (2-3) surrendered three runs and five hits with five strikeouts over four innings to take the loss. TUCSON (DIAMONDBACKS) 4, NEW ORLEANS (ASTROS) 0METAIRIE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Scott Barber threw a five-hit shutout in his Class AAA debut as the Tucson Sidewinders blanked the New Orleans Zephyrs, 4-0. Barber (1-0), who was making his first appearance above the Class A level, tossed his first career shutout in four years as a professional, issuing a walk, inducing 15 groundouts and allowing just one runner to reach third base. Doug Devore ripped an RBI double and Chad Tracy finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored for Tucson, which won its fourth straight. Bob Scanlan (1-7) surrendered two runs and five hits in six innings, striking out four and walking one to suffer the loss, the sixth in a row for New Orleans. EDMONTON (EXPOS) 9, TACOMA (MARINERS) 3TACOMA, Washington (Ticker) -- Luis Ortiz hit a two-run homer and Britt Reames threw 6 2/3 solid innings to help the Edmonton Trappers earn a 9-3 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers. Ortiz highlighted a five-run second inning with a his 10th homer of the season. Reames (4-13), who had lost each of his previous six starts, gave up three runs and eight hits with six strikeouts and two walks for the win. Terrmel Sledge drove in a pair of runs and Val Pascucci went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles for Edmonton, which snapped its eight-game losing streak. Jeff Heaverlo (5-10) was shelled for eight runs -- seven earned -- and 10 hits in just two innings for the loss. Luis Figueroa had three hits and two RBI and Adrian Myers drove in a run for Tacoma, which stranded 12 runners on base. PORTLAND (PADRES) 7, NASHVILLE (PIRATES) 6PORTLAND, Oregon (Ticker) -- Tagg Bozied singled home the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead the Portland Beavers to a 7-6 win over the Nashville Sounds. After Rich Gomez was hit by a pitch and stole second base, Donaldo Mendez doubled down the left field line to even the score at 6-6. Following an intentional walk to Khalil Greene and a sacrifice bunt by Wiki Gonzalez, Bozied produced a one-out base hit to center field, scoring Mendez with the deciding run. Greene tied the game in the bottom of the first with a two-run shot to left field and staked Portland to a 4-2 lead with a solo-homer in the third. The 23-year-old Greene is 5-for-8 in his last two games, posting three home runs and nine RBI. Mendez added two doubles, an RBI and two runs scored for the Beavers, who won for just the third time when trailing after eight innings. Brandon Villafuerte (3-1) tossed two scoreless innings to get the win. Mike Gulan and Tony Alvarez each drove in a pair of runs for Nashville, which dropped to 19-14 in one-run games this season. Jim Mann (3-2) surrendered two runs, two hits, a hit batsman and a walk in just 1/3 of an inning to take the loss.
