BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 22, 2003--The world's most beloved band, THE FLAMING LIPS will release a new EP next month entitled, "EGO TRIPPING AT THE GATES OF HELL." The 7-track EP will be comprised of 2 remixes of the title track, a remix of "DO YOU REALIZE??" plus 3 brand new recordings and a Christmas song. All tracks are brand new and exclusive to this release only. Release date for "EGO TRIPPING" is November 18, 2003. On the same date, Warner Bros. Records will release the Special Collectors Edition of their current Grammy Award-winning album, "YOSHIMI BATTLES THE PINK ROBOTS." As reported earlier, this special edition CD + DVD Audio will contain the Yoshimi CD plus a bonus disc containing nearly two hours of visual content and tons of extras with liner notes and original artwork from Wayne Coyne, and an amazing 5.1 mix by the legendary Elliot Scheiner (Fleetwood Mac, R.E.M., Steely Dan, Beck, etc.)

In the meantime, The Flaming Lips will tour the West Coast as special guests to The Red Hot Chili Peppers before heading back to the UK for more headline dates.
