| Eight die from homemade liquor in Bangladesh
DHAKA, Nov 5 (AFP) - At least eight people died and 22 others were ill after drinking homemade liquor in western Bangladesh, a television channel reported Wednesday. The eight died after drinking the moonshine late Tuesday in the Kushtia district, 144 kilometers (89 miles) west of the capital Dhaka, NTV television said. Twenty-two others were being treated at local hospitals and the death toll may rise as several were in a serious condition, the network said.
