McDATA Announces the Availability of SANavigator 4.0, EFCM 8.0 With a Common Platform; New Versions Are Open, Multi-Vendor, Multi-Protocol, Scalable and Growth-Ready BROOMFIELD, Colo. & SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 12, 2003--McDATA(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:MCDTA) (Nasdaq:MCDT), the expert provider of multi-capable storage networking solutions, today announced the release of SANavigator 4.0 and OEM qualification beginning this quarter of EFCM 8.0, McDATA's OEM product. OEMs, end-users and resellers will all receive a range of benefits including flexibility, scalability and multi-vendor capability. The optional modules available for EFCM 8.0 OEM customers include: Performance Monitoring, enabling identification of over- and under-utilized ports; Event Management, providing automation of routine tasks; Open Fabric Management, establishing multi-vendor discovery; Planning, enabling design of a scalable, customized storage network; and LUN Management, supplying data security and manual provisioning. EFCM 8.0 for OEMs inherits new features from SANavigator 4.0, including: multi-vendor capability; user defined groups and views; improved import/export; centralized device list; and greater scalability. SANavigator 4.0 gains new features from EFCM 8.0, including: show route; McDATA element manager launch; and FICON CUP server management.
