ROCHESTER, New York (Ticker) -- Carlos Pulido combined with Jesse Crain on a two-hit shutout to help the Rochester Red Wings blank the Pawtucket Red Sox, 2-0. Pulido (12-4), who retired 16 straight during the contest, allowed a pair of hits, issued a walk and struck out five over eight innings, holding Pawtucket hitless over the first 7 1/3 innings to win his fifth consecutive decision. Crain struck out two in a perfect ninth inning to earn his seventh save. David Lamb doubled in a run in the second inning to open the scoring and Luis Rodriguez added a fifth-inning RBI single for Rochester, which has won three straight. Jorge de la Rosa (0-1) surrendered two runs and five hits in five innings to suffer the loss in his debut for the Red Sox, who loss for the first time in five road games.
