| NY Yankees 6, Texas 2
NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- Roger Clemens, 41, allowed one run and five hits in seven innings Tuesday for his 304th win as the New York Yankees beat Texas, 6-2. Clemens (11-7) yielded a solo homer to Hank Blalock in the top of the first. He was coming off his first shutout in more than three years, a five-hit blanking of the Anaheim Angels. BizVantage All the Net, all the time, just for you. The Yankees hit four homers off Lewis (4-7), who surrendered six runs and seven hits in 4 2/3 innings. Derek Jeter delivered a pair of opposite-field shots and Hideki Matsui and Jason Giambi also homered. Giambi, who fell a triple shy of the cycle, hit his 32nd of the season, taking sole possession of the league lead from Toronto's Carlos Delgado. Jeter answered Blalock's blast with his 11th career leadoff homer and second this season.
