Blake, the 38th overall pick out of Maryland, finished his college career ranked fifth all-time on the NCAA assists list.

A member of the Terrapins' 2002 national title team, along with fellow Wizard Juan Dixon, Blake is the first player in ACC history to record at least 1,000 points, 800 assists, 400 rebounds, and 200 steals.

"Steve is a proven winner from a terrific college program and he played well for us during summer league," said President of Basketball Operations Ernie Grunfeld. "He showed the ability to lead a team, make plays for his teammates, and defend at the pro level."

He was fourth all-time with 972 assists.
