| Suit accuses Combs' studio of violence
NEW YORK, Aug. 12 (UPI) -- An aspiring filmmaker says he went to Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' New York studio to recruit Combs in an anti-violence effort, but instead he was beaten up there. The allegation is the subject of a $25 million lawsuit by filmmaker Thomas Guest and another $25 million action filed by his associate, Damon Jackson, the New York Post reports. BizVantage All the Net, all the time, just for you. Neither petition said that the hip-hop honcho was personally involved in the alleged assault last August -- but both suits seek to hold him accountable. Their lawyer, Ralph DeSimone, says the trouble started when Jackson drove Guest to the studio to see Combs, whom Guest was trying to get involved in a film project "with a number of prominent rap artists speaking out against violence in the rap community." The suits argue Combs is ultimately responsible for the assault because it was carried out by his security guards outside his West 44th Street recording studio, Daddy's House. A spokeswoman for Combs said, "This suit is totally baseless and the allegations are ridiculous."
