Roger Clemens will open Major League Baseball's All-Star game at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas, Tuesday night, having been named starting pitcher Monday by National League manager Jack McKeon of the Florida Marlins.

Clemens, with a record of 10-3 and a 2.62 earned run average for his hometown Houston Astros, will be throwing to his one-time nemesis, New York Mets catcher Mike Piazza.

When he was with the New York Yankees, Clemens beaned Piazza in 2000, and in that year's World Series, he threw a shattered bat in Piazza's direction, earning a $50,000 fine.

Oakland's Mark Mulder was picked to start for the American League. He is tied for the major league lead with 12 wins, going 12-2 with a 3.21 ERA.
