With just 10 minutes left in the second half, Abby Wambach found the back of the net to tie the score. Then, minutes later, Julie Foudy came through with the game winner with a shot off the left post.
Canada crushed Costa Rica, 4-0, in the consolation game earlier Friday. Neither team will go to the Olympics, however, since the regional tournament qualifies only two teams for the summer games in Greece.

Mexico took a 2-0 lead in the first 15 minutes Friday on two goals by Maribel Dominguez, who finished with a tournament-best nine goals. American Lindsay Tarpley scored just before the half to cut the margin to 2-1.
