South African golfer Retief Goosen has a one-shot lead heading into Saturday's third round of the Ford Championship in Miami, Florida, after a bumpy second round.

Goosen had six birdies to overcome two bogeys, posting a 4-under-par, 68 on Friday. That moved him to nine under par (135) midway through the event.

He is one shot up on Americans Phil Mickelson and Todd Hamilton, along with Australian Craig Parry.

Mickelson had a chance to share the lead, but bogeyed the tough 18th hole for the second straight day.

Two shots off the lead are Craig Perks of New Zealand, Alexander Cejka of Germany and American Mark Calcavecchia.


In the Champions tour event for players over 50, American Andy Bean has a one-shot lead heading into Saturday's second round.

Bean fired a 5-under-par, 67 Friday at the MasterCard Classic in Huixquilucan, Mexico. Just behind him are Australian Stewart Ginn and American Jim Colbert.
