Among the women, the 33-year-old Walsham won in 13:12. She was 12 seconds faster than 38-year-old American Cindy Moll-Harris.
Also reaching the top was 77-year-old American Al Puma. Despite four knee surgeries, the oldest competitor speed-walked the 1,576 steps in 27:16. Two hundred runners from around the world competed in the 30th annual Empire State Building Run-Up.
