Los Angeles Lakers' star big man Shaquille O'Neal took charge after teammate Kobe Bryant left the game early with an injury, scoring 32 points in a win over the visiting Seattle SuperSonics.
Bryant went to the hospital after a collision with a Seattle player, injuring the same shoulder on which he had surgery during the off-season. Team officials have not said how serious the injury might be.
