The second-seeded Henin beat Vera Zvonareva of Russia 6-3, 6-2

World No. 1 women's tennis player Justine Henin of Belgium has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Florida by beating Vera Zvonareva of Russia.

The second seeded Henin defeated Zvonareva, 6-3, 6-2 Monday at the hardcourt tournament. She next faces number-six Nadia Petrova of Russia, who rallied to defeat 10th-seeded countrywoman Dinara Safina, 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. But fourth-seeded Kim Clijsters of Belgium was an upset victim, as number-15 Li Na of China also battled from behind to win, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Other women's winners in the fourth round included number-nine Anna Chakvetadze of Russia and Italy's Tathiana Garbin.

In the men's third round, fourth-seeded Russia Nikolay Davydenko was upset by American qualifier Amer Delic, 7-6, 6-3. Sixth-seeded Tommy Robredo of Spain topped Germany's Florian Mayer, 6-4, 6-4. Robredo next faces Radek Stepanek, after the Czech eliminated Alejandro Falla of Colombia, 6-3, 6-2.
